Greeting Card

Pada pelajaran kali ini, kita akan membahas tentang Greeting Card. Apa itu Greeting Card? Nah dalam Bahasa Indonesia, Greeting Card ialah kartu ucapan. Kartu ucapan selamat ini biasa digunakan untuk mengucapkan selamat kepada seseorang di hari spesial, atau atas prestasinya. Greeting card tersebut diberikan untuk moment / peristiwa yang menyenangkan, Biasanya menggunakan kata “Congratulation on…/ I congratulate you on…., Peristiwa yang menggembirakan tsb seperti: (hafalkan kosa-kata berikut)

• New baby born : Kelahiran bayi
• Birthday/ return of the day : ulang tahun
• Graduation/finishing study/getting new degree : lulus/mendapat gelar
• Inauguration : Wisuda/pelantikan.
• Getting New Job : mendapat pekerjaan baru
• Winning the contest : Menang lomba
• Engagement : tunangan
• Getting marriage/wedding : pernikahan
• Anniversary : Hari jadi
• New Years Eve : Malam tahun Baru

Asking for and Giving Opinion and Responses

Contoh dialog:

Dudung    : Have you heard about the football competition next week?

Dilan        : Yes. What do you think of our school preparation?

Dudung    : I think that our school will win the match.

Dilan        : I don't think so. I am afraid that our school team is lack of preparation.

Dudung    : Will see.

Dudung    : Udah dengar tentang pertandingan bola minggu depan belum?

Dilan        : Ya udah. Apa pendapatmu tentang persiapan sekolah kita?

Dudung    : Menurutku sih sekolah kita akan memenangkan pertandingan tersebut.

Dilan        : Saya rasa ngga deh. Saya khawatir tim sekolah kita kurang persiapan.

Dudung    : Lihat nanti aja lah.

Dari dialog diatas, terdapat tiga expression yang akan kita pelajari, yaitu asking for opinion (meminta pendapat), giving opinion (memberikan pendapat), dan responding to an opinion (menanggapi suatu pendapat). Berikut beberapa contoh lain dari expressions tersebut.

Asking for Opinion
